Background: Most films shrink as they age. Shrinkage needs to be assessed before placing the film on any sprocketed or pinned film machine.

Problem: With so many different gauges of film and different calibrations, having a meter and calibration tool for each gauge is not efficient.
Solution: A multi-format digital shrinkage meter featuring high resolution measuring and automatic calibration. Formats supported: 35mm, 28mm, 17.5mm, 16mm, 9.5mm, 8mm and Super 8mm. Shrinkage measurement increments +-0.005 %. Mechanical index for calibration on every use. LCD screen displays current format selected, film gauge pitch, measured film pitch, and shrinkage or stretch. Works from 4% stretch to 12% shrinkage.
